Thanks to support from Feeding America, Inter-Faith Food Shuttle is pleased to offer a limited number of grants to support attendance at the Growing Stronger Communities Conference.
Up to 15 grants of $3,250 will be awarded to Feeding America Partner Food Banks and a local community partner to help offset travel and participation costs. The goal of this opportunity is to strengthen relationships between food banks and local partners working to build resilient, community-centered food systems.
This grant opportunity reflects Feeding America’s commitment to supporting partnerships that strengthen local food systems and improve access to nutritious food. By bringing together food banks and community-based partners, the program aims to encourage collaboration, shared learning, and innovative approaches that help communities thrive.

- Eligibile Applicants: Feeding America Partner Food Banks
- Eligible Participants: Funds are intended to cover 1 partner food bank staff member and 1 community partner attendance at the conference
- Community partners may include farmers, food producers, nutrition organizations, agricultural partners, and other organizations supporting local food systems

WHAT IS THE GOAL OF THESE GRANTS?
The goal of the grant is to support Partner Food Banks and their local community partners so they can attend the Growing Stronger Communities Annual Agriculture Conference hosted by Inter-Faith Food Shuttle on November 4 – 6, 2026 in Raleigh, NC.
HOW MUCH GRANT FUNDING IS AVAILABLE?
Up to 15 grants will be awarded of $3,250 each will be awarded to Feeding American Partner Food Banks.
What are the eligibility requirements?
Applicants must:
- A representative from the partner food bank and a representative from the partner acgency must be able to travel to Raleigh, NC for the Growing Stronger Communities Conference
- Both participants must register for the Conference by Friday, October 30, 2026
- Partner food bank must pass through a portion of grant funds to their community partner so they can also attend the conference
What are the selection criteria or priorities?
Preference will be given to organizations or communnity partners that:
- Did not attend Inter-Faith Food Shuttle’s Growing Stronger Communities Annual Agriculture Conference in 2025
- Are committed to supporting local partnerships that contribute to local food system resiliency
How can funds be used?
Grant funds can be used toward conference registration and travel to the Growing Stronger Communities Conference. Grant funds may be used retroactively if an organization has already registered for the conference and/or made travel arrangements.
If there are remaining funds after covering conference attendance and participation, funds may be applied to expenses related to strengthening local food systems.
Ineligible Expenses: Funds may not be used to support expenses unrelated to the conference or strengthening local food systems.
When will grants be awarded?
Awardees will be notified by September 30, 2026. Funds will arrive in early October.
